Wilma J. Lanham, 78, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed on May 1, 2026. Born on October 20, 1947, in Charlestown, Indiana, she was the beloved daughter of the late William F. Watson Sr. and Grethel M. Mitchell Monyhan.

Wilma was a woman of deep faith and devotion, rooted in her Pentecostal beliefs. She was a dedicated member of Christ Gospel Church in Jeffersonville, Indiana, where she found strength, community, and joy in worship.

She worked as an environmental aide in healthcare for many years, a role that allowed her to care for others in a meaningful way. Wilma had a heart of gold; she would do anything for anyone.

Broom Broom Cleaning Service LLC was a dream of hers that she and her oldest granddaughter made a reality together. They cherished every minute working side by side, sharing laughter, hard work, and unforgettable memories. Wilma will be deeply missed and forever remembered. She was a loving Mother, Sister, Nana, Great-Grandmother, and the rock of her family.

Wilma is survived by her husband, Donnie Lanham; her children, Gary McKenzie, Lisa Lanham, and Donita Spalding (Jessie); her grandchildren, Chelsea Lanham (Chris), Katie Lanham, Ronnie Basham (Kenzie), Brittany Burns, Alexis Lanham (Chris), Stevi Jenkins (Chandler), and Skylie Martin (Jadyn); and 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Mark Watson and Michael Watson; her sisters, Sharon K. Watson and Carol S. Vermillion (Kiki); and a cherished friend of Wilma and the family, Jeff Roberts.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, William F. Watson Jr., Earl Watson, Darrell Watson, Clarence Watson Sr., & Delbert Watson Sr.

Visitation will be held at Kraft Funeral Home (2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana) on Monday, May 11, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and again on Tuesday, May 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The funeral service will take place in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m., with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.
