Angelina Anna Artiago

28 avril 2026 Kirkland, Quebec Dignity Memorial

Angelina Anna Artiago (Angie) journeyed home peacefully on April 28th, 2026. She was born August 8th, 1950. Angie was the oldest of 5 children. Her parents are Maurice Artiago Sr. and Janet (Delgado) Geiszler.

Angie was blessed to have a long and colorful life. She traveled with a friend to the Philippines for a month in 1988. She loved it there. She also lived in Hawaii for two years from 1972-1974.

She was an active member of the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians Elders Program. Angie was a Representative for the Portland Area Office for many years along with Kay Steele. She checked in on our Elders on a regular basis, letting them know about upcoming events and chatting with them to make sure they were doing well and to see if they needed anything. She attended all Elder Events and trips with her sister Deb and cousins Dodo, Cookee and Elena until she could no longer do so. She looked forward to our Tribe’s Nesika Ilahee PowWow in August and our Restoration PowWow in November. She attended Culture Camp in Siletz, Basket Weaving Conferences, NICOA but her favorite thing she looked forward to was going to Elder Honor Days. She met and made friends with many Elders from different Tribes whom she always looked forward to seeing the following year. She was very proud of her ancestry and being an Elder.

Her interests included Bingo, crafting, playing cards, especially pinochle and watching her favorite tv shows. She lived for her wrestling nights. Don’t even try to talk to her while wrestling is on! And as of late, she was fascinated by Harry Potter. I think that she was able to finish all 8 movies. Angie had a personality bigger than life and left her impression on everyone she came in contact with.

Angie spent the last two years at Portland Health and Rehabilitation Center. She immediately connected with the staff and caregivers and they with her. They became like family to her and they took special care of her. She loved them and they loved her.

She leaves behind her daughter, Tami Hickel; her daughter, Theresa Geiszler (Chris); her daughter, Deolanda Burton (Jody); and her son, James Mays IV; her granddaughters, Alexandra Windsong, Ashee Iverson, and Airka Geiszler; her grandsons, Nicholas Windsong and Isiah Iverson; great-grandsons, Illario (Jr) Poox Windsong,

Alexander Poox Windsong, Aiden Windsong and Nathaniel Windsong; and her great-granddaughters, Marisol Paredes Windsong and Arianna Windsong.

She also leaves behind her sister, Deb Jubinal-Brown (Hondo 🐾); her brother, Tim Geiszler; and very special nieces, Jessica, Jennifer and Nicole Johnson. Angie also has numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Angie was preceded in death by her mother Janet Geiszler, her stepfather Jimmy Jubinal, her brother Maurice Artiago Jr. and sister Patty Jubinal.

Angie lived life to the fullest. Work hard, play hard. She will be missed by many. Fly high Ang and know how much you are loved ♥️
