Doris Mae Ahr

Doris Mae Arnold Ahr, age 94, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026, in Burnet, TX. Born on September 17, 1931, in San Antonio, Texas, she lived a life marked by deep love, unwavering faith, and a joyful spirit that touched all who knew her.

Doris was a sweet yet bold and feisty woman, dearly loved by many. She shared 55 beautiful years of marriage with the love of her life, Donald Sr., until his passing in 2006—a life rooted in devotion, family, and faith.

She was a wonderful wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and loyal friend. Doris gave generously of her time, volunteering countless hours in service to others. Her servant’s heart left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

A woman of strong faith, Doris was a mighty prayer warrior, faithfully lifting up her family, friends, and community with comfort and encouragement.

Doris’s legacy is one of love, faith, and service. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Sr.; her daughter, Cynthia; her parents, Mack Sr. and Edna; her brother, Richard; and her sister, Edna. She is survived by her brother, Mack Jr. and family; and her sons, Donald Jr. and David, and their families; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Avir Burnet (Oaks Nursing Center) for their love, support, and compassionate care.

A celebration of life will be held at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Burnet, TX, on Saturday, May 30, at 10:00 AM. A reception with light refreshments will immediately follow the service.
