Dorothy G. Chappell

Dorothy G. Chappell, 73, passed on April 15, 2026; she was born August 23, 1952, in Talladega, Alabama, and lived in Lincoln, Alabama.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Terry Chappell; her children, JoAnna McCabe (Jim), Terry Chappell Jr. (Dana), Kevin Chappell (Laura), and Stephanie Carden (Kevin); her grandchildren, Melissa Manns (Jeremy), Amber Lunsford (Patrick), Jacy Smith (Ryan), Payton Mayhugh (Aaron), Matthew Chappell (Hailey), Christine Chappell, Nici Runner (Eric), Ryan Carden, Amanda Carden, Noah Chappell (Serenity), Brody Chappell, Alex Queen (Summer), and Haley Giddens (Jesse Camp); and her great-grandchildren, Addison Manns, Hudson Manns, Jameson Manns, Brynlee Queen, Liberty Mayhugh, Olivia Mayhugh, Everleigh Chappell, Holland Chappell, Remi Carden, Gibson Runner, Klemson Carden, Realynn Carden, Marshall Runner, and Layla Runner.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her father, Jesse Gilliland; her mother, Pearl Gilliland; her brothers, Gene Gilliland, Jimmy Gilliland, and James Gilliland; and her sisters, Sue Price and Mary Francis Gilliland.

Visitation will be held at Radney-Smith Funeral Home, 320 North Elm Avenue, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150, on April 18, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and the funeral service will be held at Victory Church Lincoln, 360 Blue Eye Springs Rd, Lincoln, Alabama 35096, on April 19, 2026, at 2:00 pm with Pastor Jason Gilbreath officiating.

Pallbearers will be Noah Chappell, Hudson Manns, Matt Chappell, Terry Chappell Jr., Kevin Chappell, and Kamden Hobin.

Interment will be at Eastaboga Baptist Church Cemetery, 107 Church Lane, Eastaboga.
