Jacques Villeneuve, also known as Yaakov, passed away unexpectedly on April 9, 2026, at the age of 83.

Jacques was a man deeply devoted to his Jewish faith and an active member of his synagogue community. He approached life with remarkable energy, optimism, and a visionary spirit. Known for his ambitious nature and boundless curiosity, Jacques had a true lust for life and an enduring passion for new ideas and possibilities. He traveled widely and embraced the world with enthusiasm, never content to settle for the status quo. Even later in life, he continued to pursue new ventures and challenging projects with the same determination and vitality that defined him throughout his years.

Jacques cherished his large, eclectic family and was proud of his legacy. He is lovingly remembered by his children: Sandra, David, Melanie, Nicole, Yvonne, and Binyamin. He was a proud grandfather to Emily, Nicolas, Léa, Jonathan, Derick, Jacob, Issabella, Aubrey, Quinton, Vivian, and Mason, who will carry forward his spirit of curiosity, courage, and innovation.

Jacques will be remembered for his strength of character, his unwavering belief in possibility, and the energy with which he embraced every chapter of life. His presence, wisdom, and vibrant personality will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A graveside service will take place on Monday, April 13 at 2:00 PM at the CSUQ Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield, Quebec.
