James Fernando Aguirre

13 mai 2026 Chandler, Quebec Dignity Memorial

James Fernando Aguirre unexpectedly passed away at the age of 49 on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, near Austin, TX. It is a devastating loss to our entire family. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend.

James was born on September 27, 1976, in San Angelo, TX to Fernando G. Aguirre and Charlotte S. Haralson. After graduating from Lake View High School, he attended Angelo State University, where he was an active member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.

He developed a love and talent for soccer at the young age of four. James’s enthusiasm for the sport was evident from the start, as he dedicated himself to learning and playing the game. Over the years, James continued to nurture his skills and passion, participating in soccer throughout his childhood and into his high school years. His love for the game always remained strong. He also enjoyed cheering on his favorite Texas teams including the Austin FC, Texas Rangers, and of course, Texas Longhorns Football.

James was an original opening team member for the Chili’s #436 location in San Angelo, TX in 1995. His compassion for others led him to remain in the restaurant industry throughout his lifetime. He moved to Austin, TX in the early 2000s and worked at various Chili’s locations in the surrounding area over the years. In January 2026, his hard work and dedication were recognized when he was promoted to the General Manager position of the Marble Falls, TX location. James proudly dedicated nearly 31 years of service to the Chili’s family.

James was preceded in death by his father, Fernando Aguirre, his grandmother Helen Aguirre, and his grandfather Delbert Haralson, Jr. He is survived by his mother, Charlotte Haralson and her partner George Bailey; his sister Clara Austin and her husband Brad; his brother Carlos Aguirre and his wife Smita; his sister Laura Aguirre and her fiancé Kyle; his brother, Steven Aguirre, his grandfather Frank Aguirre, Sr. and his grandmother, Katherine Haralson as well as a large extended family. James was blessed with seven nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in his heart. He took every opportunity to spoil them and shower them with love. James's affection and care for his nieces and nephews was evident in the joy he brought to their lives. His presence will be deeply missed by all of them. James is also lovingly remembered by Mary (Maria) Gonzalez, a beloved bonus mom who helped raise him and remained a loving part of his life. James’s love for our family and the adventure of life will be our comfort until we see him again.
