Ruth A. McIntosh, 85, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday morning, May 11, 2026, surrounded by her children. She was born August 16, 1940 in Evansville, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin McIntosh, Sr., of 55 years.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Terry McIntosh; son, Alvin McIntosh, Jr. (Mary); daughter, Rebecca Miller; grandchildren, Lisa McIntosh, Michael McIntosh, Hannah James (Eli), Olivia Miller; and great-granddaughter, Riley Ann James.
She was an avid reader who loved reading her devotions every morning, and enjoyed gardening. Ruth worked for Qualex for over 20 years.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street in Evansville, officiated by Pastor Trey McClain. Burial will follow in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends and family may visit from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
