Simealai Matusik suddenly passed away on May 12, 2026.
Sim was born on January 17th, 1967 in American Samoa to Petelo and Fa’asolo Tino.
She met her husband Ed in Hawaii when he was stationed at Schofield Barracks in Oahu.
What started as a blind date blossomed into a loving, lifelong marriage and four, rowdy kids: Mitchy, Sammy, Jessie, and Dante.
A wife and mother, who had an immense love for everyone she met. She loved walking in nature, vacationing with her husband, and spending time with her best friend and brother, Phelp.
She worked at Home Depot for 21 years and cared for all of her coworkers like family.
Sim is survived by husband Ed Matusik, children: Mitchy, Sammy, Jessie, Tabi, and Amanda.
Most importantly, she leaves behind her beloved grand-dog Reggie.
The family welcomes all to a simple Gathering in Celebration of Simealai's Life on May 16, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Rose Hill Funeral Home, 3653 W Market St., Akron, OH 44333.
