Adèle Chevarie

The MAISON FUNÉRAIRE LEBLANC informs of the death of Madame Adèle Chevarie on June 29, 2026. She was 87 years old and a resident of Fatima, Îles-de-la-Madeleine. She was the wife of the late Gérard Cummings, partner of Monsieur Aldéric Longuépée, mother of Diane (Félix Leblanc), Robert (Colinda Grégoire), and the late Richard (Marie-Claude Forest). She had three grandchildren: Julie, Lisa-Christine (Louis-Pier Brunet), and Michael (Myriam Arseneau Courchesne), and two great-grandchildren: Lyvia and Loïc. She was the sister of Marguerite, and Yvonne, Virginie, Desmond, Léger, Paul-Émile, and Edmond, all deceased. She also leaves behind brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends. The family will receive visitors at the Cap-aux-Meules funeral home on Saturday, August 1, 2026, starting at 9 AM. The funeral service will follow at 11 AM at the Notre-Dame du Rosaire Church in Fatima, with burial at the local cemetery. Donations to the Fondation Santé de l’Archipel for the Fonds Francine-Daigle are welcomed.
