Alain Mayrand, born in 1962, passed away on 15 July 2026 at the age of 64. He was a resident of La Sarre. Survived by his wife Louise Boily, sons Éric, Gabrielle (Raphaël), and Justin. He was the son of the late Maurice Mayrand and Lorraine Dupuis.
He was a Chevalier de Colomb since 2001 and was greatly loved by his family and friends. His memory will remain in the hearts of many.
The family expresses gratitude to the staff at the McGill neurological center and welcomes donations to Le Passage de l'Aurore in his memory. His funeral will take place at the Coopérative funéraire de l'Abitibi, with services scheduled from August 1, 2026, and a funeral mass on August 2, 2026.
His interment will be at the Villebois cemetery at a later date.
