André Simard, also known as Ringo, passed away at the age of 82 at the Maison de soins palliatifs du Saguenay. He was the beloved son of the late Marie-Blanche Gaudreault and Adélard Simard. He resided in Laterrière.
The family will receive friends on June 12, 2026, from 14:00 to 18:30 at the Complexe funéraire Chicoutimi. A farewell ceremony will be held at 18:30 in the Chicoutimi Chapel. His ashes will be interred later at the Sainte-Anne Cemetery.
He is survived by his daughters Sandra Simard (Dany Ménard) and Annie Simard (Sergio Alvaro), and their mother Céline Potvin.
His grandchildren Cédrick Ménard (Rosalie Boivin), Jonathan Ménard (Marguerite Murray), and Vincent Alvaro, as well as great-grandchildren Logan, Zoé, and Jayne.
He was the brother of Alain Simard (Flavie Larouche), Richard (Suzanne Villeneuve), the late Hevens (Céline Tremblay), Gilbert (Dominique Crépin), Gilles, the late Lisette (Roland Simard), and Louise (Benoit Lalancette).
He also leaves behind his godson Éric Simard and numerous nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.
In his memory, a donation can be made to the Maison de soins palliatifs du Saguenay. A volunteer will be present at the salon to collect donations. Donations can also be made online via the secured website.
