Angela Joy Carson, 51, passed away June 7, 2026 at the end of a glorious week vacation with her family. She was in the company of her loving husband as she passed peacefully.
She was born on September 19, 1974. She was the daughter of Gary and Jeanette Deters. After graduating from Standley Lake High School, she furthered her education at Brigham Young University as an accomplished cellist. In her junior year she joined the US ARMY as the second female in history to be an 82nd AIRBORNE Division Military Police Officer. While serving her Country, she completed her bachelor's degree in accounting from Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC. During this time, she met and married the love of her life, Chad Ashley Carson on November 29, 1996.
After her term of service in the US ARMY, she began her career at Compass Group. With her unwavering dedication and unmatched work ethic she achieved the success of becoming the Vice President of the payroll division. She was admired and respected by all of her colleagues. Additionally, she loved her work and her coworkers during her twenty-five year tenure.
The joy of Angela's life was her adoring husband Chad, her son Brendan Chad Carson, as well as her daughter Kiley Lyn Carson. She was a devoted wife and mother who cherished the pursuit of adventure, travel, and outdoor activities with her family.
Angela is survived by her husband of nearly thirty years, Chad Ashley Carson, two children, Brendan Chad Carson and Kiley Lyn Carson. Her beloved parents Gary Michael Deters and Jeanette Lyn Deters. Her siblings Melinda Ann McClure, Michael Alan Deters, Adam Joshua Deters, Andrea Michelle Bickmore, Janelle Alyse Blaschke. Her Father and Mother-in-law, James Rutledge Carson Jr. (Jim) and Gayle Lewis Carson. Brother and sister-in-laws James Rutledge Carson III (Rusty) and Caroline Carson Leistikow. Angela is also survived by twenty seven beloved nieces and nephews and two great nephews.
A service to celebrate Angela's life will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, June 15th 2026 in the chapel of McEwen Funeral Service-Pineville Chapel, at 10500 Park Rd., Charlotte, NC 28210. The family will receive friends following the service for appetizers and fellowship.
