Anita Sitomer

Peacefully on Saturday, July 18, 2026, in her seventy-seventh year, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Beloved wife and best friend of Kenneth for fifty-sixty years. Devoted and cherished mother and mother-in-law of Irene and Gregory, and Joen and Matthew. Proud Grandmother of Carene, Lia, and Vanessa. Daughter of the late Gloria and the late Harry Clapoff. Dear sister-in-law of Charles, Hildy, and Jamie. Anita will be deeply missed by her extended family, friends, and all who knew her. An exceptional medical transcriptionist working in the medical field for over 35 years that retired from Memorial Hospital in Hollywood, Florida in 2017. In retirement, she played Mah Jongg, Canasta, danced Zoomba and Line Dancing, attended Silver Sneakers, was a member of the Red Hat Society, and President of the book club. She never stopped traveling across the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe, and Caribbean.
