Ansel Salazar

Ansel Salazar, 34, of El Paso, Texas, sadly passed away on September 22, 2026. Born on August 4, 1992 to Frank and Lisa, he was the youngest of their three boys.

He was best known for his good cooking and grilling. He had a love for music, working on cars, and above all else his children. Ansel had a contagious smile and a sense of humor that could turn a quiet room into one full of laughter.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Pilar and Jose C. Salazar, maternal great-grandmother Florencia Guillen, maternal grandfather Armando Garcia, aunts Cecilia Salazar, Esther Salazar, Beatriz Hernandez, uncles Wesley Clayton, Armando Salazar, Jose E Salazar, cousins Renee Salazar, Devon Salazar, Armando Salazar, Nathaniel Salazar, Steven Lozano, and Samantha Renee Hernandez.

He is survived by his children Jacob, Nya, and their mother Reyna. He is also survived by his father Frank Salazar (Kelly), his mother Lisa Garcia (Angel), his brothers Adam F. Salazar (Bernadette), Seth Salazar (Iliana), his nieces and nephews Viktor, Javier, Bela, Mina, Baby Seth, Emily, Leo, and his best friend Aaron Equinoa.

Please join us in celebrating Ansel’s life. Visitation will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 1060 North Carolina Drive, El Paso, TX 79915, US, on October 3, 2026, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, a Rosary is to be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, with a wake to follow at 7716 Wenda Dr., El Paso, Texas.
