It’s with great sadness that the family announces the death of Madame Bernadette Chartrand née Prézeau of Gatineau, who passed away on Saturday, September 12, at the age of 86. She was the daughter of the late Oscar Prézeau and Louisa Ladouceur.
She was the tender wife of Lionel Chartrand. She leaves behind her children Lyne (Tony) and Pierre (Joanne), her adoptive daughter Chantal (René), her grandchildren Shawn (Mélanie), Vicki (Dominic), Annie (Mathieu), Eric (Karine), and her great-grandchildren Jaxon, Mason, Tom, Ryan, Samy, Elizabeth, Théodore, Chloé, and Lori whom she loved. She also leaves her sisters Diane (Arthur) and Claire (Réjean), her brothers Roger (deceased Gisèle) and Daniel, several sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, and friends.
She was predeceased by her grandson Luc, her brothers Marcel, Réal, Jean, and her sister Hélène (deceased Gérald).
A religious ceremony will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at 14:00 at the Cooperative Funeral Home of Outaouais located at 750, boulevard Maloney East, Gatineau (Pavilion Lac Beauchamp). The family will receive condolences from 13:00.
The family wishes to warmly thank the palliative care nurses at CLSC (24/7) as well as Nathalie and Anik for the excellent care provided to Madame Prézeau.
