Betty DeWeese passed away at the age of 71 after a long and hard-fought battle with cancer, with her loving husband, Mel, and her two best friends, Jan and Pam, by her side.
Born on May 2, 1955, in Hillsboro, Oregon, to Curtis and Evelyn DeWeese, Betty was raised in Tieton, Washington, and graduated from Highland High School in 1974.
Betty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her loving husband, Mel Sager; her sons, Travis (Jen) Kobli, Greg (Shari) Rodenburg, and Kyle (Margarita) Sager; her cherished grandchildren, Khey, Morgan, Ryder, Jasper, Hudson, Quinn, and Hollis; and her brothers, Billy (Susie) DeWeese, Timmy DeWeese, Jimmy DeWeese, and Bradley DeWeese.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Evelyn DeWeese.
She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, strong work ethic, love of shoes, and unwavering love for her family and friends. She especially loved spoiling her grandchildren and rarely missed the opportunity to cheer them on at their sporting events. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Betty’s life will be held at a later date.
