Bobbie Ennis Flynn

Bobbie Ruth Flynn (nee Ennis) passed away peacefully on September 14, 2026, at the age of 98. She was born on September 16th, 1927, in Okeechobee, Florida and moved to Tampa in the early 1940’s. After high school, she moved to Washington, D.C. for work. She worked for the U.S. Air Force until 1956 – the year she had her daughter Cathie. Later on, Bobbie would become a Troop Leader for the Girl Scouts, then a Trainer of troop leaders.

She cherished traveling alongside her husband, Bernie and family including her brother Buford, her sister, Christine and their spouses. Together they embarked on countless cross-country adventures - frequently exploring in Buford's RV. She also journeyed to destinations such as Alaska, Hawaii, and Ireland.

She was predeceased by her parents, Ella and Robert Ennis, her sister Helen, her sister Christine, her brother Buford, her husband Bernie and her daughter Cathie. She is survived by her nephew Bill Flynn, niece Joanne Genevish, nephew Powell Ennis, niece Dorothy Ennis Hamlin, nephew Charles Fulton Ennis, nephew Wayne Peterson, nephew Roy Peterson, Jr and numerous other great nieces, great nephews and cousins. Her family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to her dedicated personal caregivers at the American House - especially Carmen Otero- and her Hospice Team - for their compassionate care. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

A visitation for Bobbie will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Blount and Curry Funeral Home- Carrollwood, 3207 W Bearss Ave, Tampa, Florida, 33618, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 am to 11:15 am.

Cemetery Service will be on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, Florida 33516.
