Bobby K Huen

Bobby Kar Leung Huen, 47, of Broward County, Florida, passed away on September 15, 2026. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Bobby was born on July 22, 1979, in Hong Kong and moved to South Florida in 1996. Bobby graduated from the University School of Nova Southeastern University as a member of the Class of 1997. He continued his education at Boston University, earning Bachelor and Master’s degrees in International Relations and Communications, and later received his Doctorate in conflict resolution from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale.

Bobby was a remarkable person whose compassion, wisdom, and generosity touched so many lives. His legacy of service, kindness, and dedication will be forever remembered. Bobby loved cooking and experimenting in the kitchen. He enjoyed a good debate and was passionate, informed, and engaged in current events. Bobby devoted most of his life advocating for diversity and LGBTQ+ rights and was a beloved member of the South Florida LGBTQ+ community.

Bobby was preceded in death by his mother, Yuk Ling Leung. He is survived by his sister, Barbara Lowe, and her family.

The family will be remembering Bobby privately. We invite others to honor his memory by being a good friend, as he was.
