Brenda Joyce Martin Medlock, 60, of Columbus, GA, was born on January 28, 1966 and passed away on September 28, 2026. Brenda was a woman whose steady warmth and generous spirit left people feeling seen, valued, and deeply loved.

Brenda attended Harris County High School and obtained her GED from Jordan High School and completed her education through high school. She carried forward a grounded, practical strength, one that showed itself not in grand gestures, but in the faithful ways she cared for others and made a home where laughter and comfort were always close at hand.
For 16 years, Brenda shared marriage with her husband, Jason Ronald Medlock. Together they built a life marked by companionship and shared joys, especially their love of travel. Brenda delighted in trips to the mountains and the beach, and she had a special fondness for old, rustic treasures and thrifting. She and Jason would drive thousands of miles to photograph covered bridges, turning the open road into a gallery of memories and a testament to the joy they found in simple beauty.
Brenda’s heart for others was evident in the way she loved her family, who meant everything to her, and in the way she welcomed friends into her confidence with kindness and steady understanding. She loved to laugh, sometimes laughing until she cried, and that bright, unguarded joy was one of the many ways she brought light into the lives around her.
She also had a deep compassion for animals, assisting PAWS and accompanying Jason on transports. Whether tending her little garden, cooking for those she loved, or offering the comfort of a trusted friend, Brenda lived with a caring devotion that made everyday moments feel meaningful.
