July 27, 2026 Stoke, Quebec Dignity Memorial

Mrs. Carolyn Louise Beason, 81, of Steele, Alabama, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, July 27, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Carolyn was a loyal and devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend whose life was defined by her unwavering love for her family. Her greatest joy was her son, Dale, and she always placed her family above all else. She was a woman of quiet strength, kind heart, and steadfast faithfulness whose love and guidance will be cherished forever. A 1963 graduate of Ashville High School, Carolyn continued her education at Gadsden Business College. During her lifetime, she became a Master Gardener, taking great pride in cultivating beautiful flowers and plants. She found joy in reading, especially novels, and treasured the peaceful moments spent with a good book. While attending high school, Carolyn met Gene Beason. The two were married in 1964 and shared more than 50 wonderful years together. As Gene faithfully served in the United States Army, Carolyn embraced the opportunity to travel alongside him, creating treasured memories throughout their years of military life. Together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Beason; her parents; her infant sister, Mary Joyce Whisnant; and her sister, Vernice Morgan. Left to cherish her memory are her devoted son, Dale Beason; her brother, Harold Whisnant (Deborah); her nieces, Donna Lee, Dyann Morgan, Jennifer Franks (Page), and Michelle Cone (Andy); sister-in-law Juda A Smith as well as many beloved great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives she touched with her kindness and love. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Amedisys Hospice for their compassionate care and support. They also extend special thanks to her nieces Michelle, Jennifer, Donna, and Dyann for the love, dedication, and countless acts of kindness they so faithfully gave Carolyn during her illness. Serving as pallbearers will include Andy Cone, Page Franks, Alan Smith, Chance Dismukes, and Hobart McClendon. Funeral services will be officiated by Lainey Bowman and Elwyn Thomas. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m., with burial to follow at Union Church Cemetery on Beason Cove Road in Steele, Alabama. Carolyn’s legacy is one of love, devotion, and selfless sacrifice.
