Charles Peel Woodham

September 9, 2026 Dignity Memorial

Charles “Chuck” Peel Woodham, 67, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. Chuck lived his life with an easy sense of humor, a deep loyalty to the people he loved, and a genuine willingness to help others. He cared deeply about his family and friends and never seemed to think that staying in touch was optional. He showed up. He checked in. He helped. And, more often than not, he found a way to make people laugh along the way.

Chuck was born in Brooksville, Florida, on February 28, 1959, to John D. Woodham and Bobbie Peel Woodham. He grew up in Tallahassee, where he attended Leon High School and played football. He went on to Florida State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in Criminology.

After graduating from Florida State, Chuck married and moved to Miami, Florida, where he began his career as a salesman with Shaw Industries. After two and a half years in Miami, Chuck and his family moved to Tampa, where he would make his home for the rest of his life. He spent his entire professional career with Shaw Industries before retiring.

Chuck and Blithe raised their two sons, Shane and Grant. While life eventually took Chuck and Blithe in different directions, their two boys remained an enduring connection throughout the years.

Chuck’s greatest accomplishments, however, were never the ones that appeared on a résumé. They were found in the people he loved and the life he built around them. They include his passions for golf and fishing, his deep love for his grandson Waylon, and his simple outlook on life expressed in his favorite phrase "It’s all good!".

He is survived by his son Shane Woodham, grandson Waylon, brother Wally Woodham (Susan), sister Kay Moravek (Brian), and other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Grant Sterling Woodham, his beloved daughter-in-law Erica, and his grandparents.
