Cheryl P. Grant was born on May 15, 1944 to Lola (Williams) and Robert Pierce in Richmond, Virginia. She passed away on August 11, 2026 at Falmouth Hospital after a brief illness. She is predeceased by her husband Gerald V. Grant.
Cheryl graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1966 and went on to receive a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Texas in Austin. She was an instructor in the Theatre Departments at the University of Miami and the University of Texas.
Cheryl married Gerald Grant in May of 2000. She was an extremely talented artist, quilter and needleworker. She enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles.
Cheryl was very dedicated to her parish family at St. John the Evangelist in Pocasset. She served as a lector, alter server, dishwasher at Bingo and most recently as a Eucharistic Minister at the Cape Cod Senior Residences where she lived.
She is survived by her daughter Caite Craddock, and son Matthew Grant.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 31st at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist. Burial will follow at the VA National Cemetery in Bourne.
