Christian Alberto Verdugo

Christian Alberto Verdugo passed on July 19, 2026, at the age of 45, born June 12, 1981, and a resident of Tucson, Arizona. Survived by his children, Christian Verdugo, Maria Verdugo, Luis Verdugo, Sarai Verdugo, and Vianey Trejo.Chris's story was one of grace, redemption, and the relentless love of God.While he faced many battles throughout his life, his greatest victory was found in Jesus Christ. Chris surrendered his life to the Lord and placed his faith in Him as Savior. Though sanctification is a lifelong journey, his heart belonged to God.Chris was a man who loved deeply, a jokester who could bring a smile to almost anyone's face. He was a compassionate and amazing brother. His kindness was genuine, and his love for people was evident. He was passionate about his faith and grateful for the many people and ministries that walked alongside him. He appreciated the generosity shown to him over the years including Chick-fil-A. But Today, we can smile knowing that Chris is in the presence of our Savior, and he never has to eat another Chick-fil-A sandwich again. We do not remember Chris simply for the struggles he faced, but for the God who redeemed him, the love he shared, and the hope he found in Christ. Because of Jesus, this is not goodbye forever. It is a temporary farewell until we meet again in glory.Chris referred to Teen Challenge as holy ground, a place where broken lives meet a faithful God, where chains are broken, hope is restored, and hearts are transformed by the power of Jesus Christ."And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body.
