Christine South, 62, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026, in Scottsdale, Arizona. She was born on June 1, 1963, in Peru, Indiana, to Ronald Makhol and Patricia Habusta.

Christine was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and cherished friend. She shared a beautiful life with her husband, Paul South, and together they created a family filled with love, strength, and lasting memories.

She earned her AA Degree and dedicated her professional career to Ryan LLC. Christine was also a faithful member of Impact Church, where she found comfort, community, and spiritual strength.

Christine enjoyed life’s simple pleasures most. She loved walking her dog, hiking, and going to the gym. Her warmth, kindness, and caring spirit touched everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Paul South of Phoenix, Arizona; her children, Sara and Michelle of Buckeye, Arizona, Kyle and Cory of Salt Lake City, Utah, and stepdaughter Valerie of Portland, Oregon; and her many beloved grandchildren: Jakob, Jadon, Laraea, Jetsen, Sighles, Cadrian, Nikolias, Serenity, Ryker, Ayden, Evan, Hope, Mason, and Cora. She leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, and treasured memories that will live on through her family and friends.

A funeral service will be held on May 29, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary & Cemetery, 719 N. 27th Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona 85009. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Lawn.

Christine will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing and loving her.
