The 29th of June 2026, Mme Claire Claveau, passed away at CHSLD Maison des Ainés de la Rivière-Saguenay at the age of 92 years and 3 months. She was the wife of the late Mr. André Vézina and lived in Chicoutimi. She was the daughter of the late Mme Marie-Blanche Savard and the late Mr. Thomas-Louis Claveau.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Chicoutimi Funeral Complex. The farewell celebration will take place on July 18, 2026, at 4 p.m. at the 5th season chapel of the Chicoutimi Funeral Complex. The ceremony will be broadcast live and will be available for replay.
Her remains will be entrusted to the Alliance Funeral Crematorium and will be interred at the St. Francis Xavier Mausoleum/Columbarium at a later date.
She leaves behind her children: Gaston Vézina (Manon Tremblay), Guylaine Vézina (Dany Boivin), Charles Vézina (Karine Lepage).
Her grandchildren: Jennifer Vézina (Shad Lebovitz), Naomi Gaudreault (Tanya Proulx), Pierre Olivier Otis (Noémie Bergeron), Anthony Gaudreault (Sarah-Maude Dallaire).
Her great-grandchildren: Jake and James Lebovitz.
She was the sister of: Philippe Claveau (the late Bertmance Tremblay, the late Paulette Potvin), Jean-Joseph Claveau (the late Marie Dallaire), Ernest Claveau (the late Yvette Harvey), Lucienne Claveau (the late Paul Gilbert), Rosy Claveau (the late Rodrigue Bégin), Yvette Claveau, Louisette Claveau (the late Laurent Maltais), Charlotte Claveau (the late Boris Maltais), Jean-Marc Claveau (the late Pierrette Richard), Michel Claveau (Édith Rondeau).
Her sister-in-law was: the late Vincent Vézina (the late Pierrette Tremblay), Charlotte (the late Léo Girard), Claire (the late David Gagnon), Jean-Marie (the late Colette and Yvette Hubert), Délia (the late Clément Thibeault), Pâquerette and Bertrand (Lorraine Allard).
She leaves many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Special thanks to the staff at CHSLD Maison des Aînés de la Rivière-Saguenay for their care and especially Manon Pelletier, the caregiver who treated her as her own. Donations can be made in her memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, which will have a volunteer available at the funeral home.
