At the Hospital of the Holy Sacrament, on July 17, 2026, at the age of 92, Mrs. Colette Simard, wife of the late Mr. Paul-Henri Ferland, passed away. She was the daughter of the late Mrs. Simone Pageau and Mr. Joseph Simard.
Colette lived in Quebec, at the Cardinal-Vachon Residence in Beauport. Originally from the Limoilou neighborhood, she raised her large family in the current district of Charlesbourg. She departed, surrounded by the love of her family, to join her husband in a better world. Colette leaves behind a great descendants of which she can be proud.
She leaves behind her children: Anne (Pierre Lachance), Diane (Jules Leclerc), Hélène (Bernard Paradis), Benoît (Linda Dignard), Éric (Amy Lavoie), and Nicolas (Lucy Juneau); her grandchildren: Frédéric (Émilie Bélisle), Alexandre (Jessie Roy), Maxime (Katherine Forbes) Lachance, Sébastien (Valérie Mallard), Amélie (Julien Larochelle) Leclerc, Francis (Sophie Roy) Paradis, Cindy and Mélissa Ferland, Sarah-Émilie (Gabriel St-Pierre) and Mathieu Ferland, deceased Alexa, Léa, and Mariane Ferland; her great-grandchildren: Lauryann, Xavier, Naomie, Théo, Charlie, Élodie, Alexis, Léonie, Abbie, and Blanche; her brothers and sisters: the late Eddy (the late Rachel Simon), Henri, Jean-Guy, Raymond (Rita Martin), Clément (Pierrette St-Hilaire), André (the late Louisette Bédard), Cécile (the late Fernand Latouche), Vincent (Gaétane Hains), Jean-Jacques (Cécile Gagnon), Aubert (Marie-France Dupont), the late Lise and Jude; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: the late Raymond (Thérèse Miller), the late André (the late Huguette Bérubé), Jean-Marc (Ghislaine Côté), Gérard-Albert (Denyse Roberge), Jeanne d’Arc (the late Jacques Gauthier), Florence (the late Jacques Houde), Gilles (Manon Carrier), Jacqueline (Gilles Boucher), Georgette (the late Marcel Dion), Jean-Charles (the late Lise Ross), Louisette (the late Paul Laflamme), and Réjeanne; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A special thanks is addressed to her daughter Diane, for her constant presence and exceptional dedication during the last years of Colette.

The religious service will be held on Monday, August 3, 2026, at 1:30 pm at Saint-Rodrigue Church (4760, 1st Avenue, Quebec G1H 2T7), where the family will receive condolences starting at 12:30 pm. The burial will take place at Saint-Charles Cemetery, Marie-de-l’Incarnation mausoleum.
