Concepcion Rodriguez

Concepcion "Connie" Rodriguez passed away on July 31, 2026 after a year long battle with cancer. Given only six months to live, she defied the odds and fought hard to survive. Born on December 8, 1954, Connie grew up in a large household with eleven siblings and her mom Amelia. At an early age, she met her husband George Rodriguez, and then had two children, George Jr. and Mary Ann, four grandchildren, George III, Jacqueline, Karoleena, Michael, and one great grandchild Zeke. Connie adored her grandchildren. They were her joy and they loved her so much. Connie was a strong minded, confident, and smart business woman. She was constantly on top of things, managing her business while raising two kids. She was ahead of her time, frequently setting new trends with her classic fashion statements, and she didn't care about what others thought. She had a great sense of humor, oftentimes laughing and showing off her pretty smile. The Friday she passed, the winds were blowing strong then settled, and were followed by a beautiful pink and orange sunset. She was surrounded by her family, and her beloved little dog Mattie, who never left her side. Connie was never left alone. Her faith in God and love for Jesus prepared her in her final days. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She had so much love and support that her celebration of life party was a success in her eyes. She lived with the belief that people should celebrate the gift of life while they are here on Earth, not when they are gone.

A Memorial service will be held on Thursday August 13th at 5:00 pm, at Abundant Church Youth Auditorium, located at 1000 Valley Crest Dr.

Mom, Grandma, you will be missed, and will always be loved.
