Connie Parrish, age 73, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away on May 5, 2026.

Born on December 25, 1952, in Douglas, Georgia, and adopted a few days later by Ruth and Gedon “Jack” Simmons of Jacksonville. Connie lived a life marked by beauty, creativity, and deep devotion to those she loved.

From an early age, she possessed a vibrant spirit and a natural grace that led her to a career as a professional dancer. As a teenager, she moved to New York City where she studied dance and theater. She was cast in two Tony Award Winning Broadway shows. “Happy Time” featuring Robert Goulet and “Dear World” with Angela Lansbury. She was a beautiful dancer and continued to share her gift for years to come. She captivated audiences with her talent and presence, carrying that same creativity and passion into her later work as an event planner. She had a remarkable gift for transforming spaces, creating memorable moments and bringing people together. Her artistic spirit, attention to detail, and warm personality left a lasting impression on everyone who worked with her.

While Connie's accomplishments were many, her greatest joy was her family. She was a loving and devoted mother, but it was her role as "Coco" that filled her heart most completely. She took great pride in her children and found immense joy in watching her grandchildren grow. Nothing brought her greater happiness than being part of their lives, and they were the light of her days.

Connie is survived by her children, Patricia Saraf (Brent), Laura Lewis (Doug), and Maxwell Parrish (Kendra); and by her beloved grandchildren, Solomon, William, and Millie.

Those who knew Connie will remember her radiant smile, her elegance, her creativity and her generous heart. She had a way of making people feel special, welcomed and loved. Whether through a beautifully planned celebration, a thoughtful gesture, or simply her presence, she left a lasting mark on the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Connie's life was a beautiful dance, and though her final curtain has fallen, the love and memories she leaves behind will endure forever.

“A Dance of Remembrance” will be held in her honor on Sunday, June 28th from 11:00am-1:00pm at Bowing Oaks, 7743 Alphons Street, Jacksonville, Florida 32256.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made for the care of her 33 year old African Grey Parrot, TJ, that her children have begrudgingly inherited.
