David E Kropp

We are so sad to announce the passing of David E. Kropp, the greatest husband and father anyone could have asked for. He was born on March 8, 1964, and passed away on July 18, 2026. He lived 62 years full of kindness, resilience, and love.

His greatest pride in life are his 3 kids, to whom he was "Papa". Maia, Dylan, and Tyler will miss him forever. He was the perfect husband for his wife, Mabel - who shares his strength and fortitude. Together, they created a warm, playful, close-knit family who cherish every memory they created together. From road trips to bike rides to family dinners every night and playing together outside, he found a way to make each day fun and special.

He met Mabel at Ohio State, where they both got their Master's Degrees in Architecture. They went on to work together on his second greatest pride- their company, Autodessys. He was brilliant and simultaneously the hardest worker in any room. He often spent late nights in his home office designing software used to create beautiful things. He also loved listening to music- from AC/DC to James Taylor and everything in between. His kids love singing along with him in the car- with the top down in his jeep. He loved skiing, grilling, playing poker and pool, driveway basketball, and rooting for his kids at every sporting event- for which he was always in the stands.

He is preceded by his parents, Paul and Patricia Kropp, and his dog, Gaucho. He is survived by Mabel, Maia, Dylan, and Tyler, along with his sister Sonia, and niece and nephew, Claire and Logan, and many more friends and family members that will miss him always.
