David Earl Worley

August 20, 2026 Chartierville, Quebec Dignity Memorial

David Earl Worley, age 60, of Taylorsville, Georgia, passed away on August 20, 2026. He was born on March 26, 1966, in Cartersville, Georgia.

David was preceded in death by his father, Henry Earl Worley.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 37 years, Glenda Worley; his daughter, Heather Osteen (Kyle); his granddaughter, Madison Everett; and his stepbrother, Duane Ellis.

David was a stubborn jokester with a wonderful sense of humor. He loved to laugh and had a way of making light of even the most difficult situations. He loved his family deeply and lived life to the fullest. Glenda often said that the two of them had been “annoying each other” for more than 37 years—a testament to the love, laughter, and life they shared together.

A hardworking mechanic by trade, David could build, repair, or figure out just about anything. He had a passion for cars, tools, NASCAR—especially Dale Earnhardt Sr.—and the music of Elvis Presley. He enjoyed talking and telling stories about “back in the day,” and his stories and sense of humor will be remembered by all who knew him.

David had many interests and collections that reflected his fun-loving personality. He loved scary movies and collected Superman memorabilia. He also enjoyed gardening, tending to his rose bushes and trees, and planting sunflowers every year for his daughter, Heather. His favorite flower was the daffodil.

David was affectionately known as Paw Paw to his granddaughter, Madison. She will always remember his love of driving fast, his playful attempts to scare her, and the special memories they made together. His family will forever cherish the laughter, stories, adventures, and love he gave them.

David attended Parkway Baptist Church in Rome and was saved in 2025. His faith became an important part of his life, and his family finds comfort in knowing that he is now at peace.

David will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His stubbornness, humor, stories, hard-working spirit, and enormous love for his family will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
