David Trudel will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the many people whose lives he touched over the years. A longtime employee of Canada Post, David was known for his sharp sense of humour, strong convictions, and dependable nature. He loved spending time at the cottage, playing bridge, Mahjong, and cards with friends, fishing, and being outdoors. Friendly and quick to laugh, he never hesitated to speak his mind and could turn almost any stranger into a friend.
David leaves behind his daughters, Nancy and Julie, who will miss him dearly, as well as his grandson and little buddy, Carson, and his sister, Kathy. He was predeceased by his former wife, Nicole, and by his brother, Peter. He will be remembered for his humour, his strength, and the steady presence he brought to the lives of those around him.
The family will receive relatives and friends at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion Road) on Thursday, May 14, 2026 after 10 am, followed by a Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11 am. A reception will be held following the funeral in the reception hall. Interment Hope Cemetery. In memoriam donations to the Liver Canada would be appreciated.
