David Parker Kirch, Sr., 82, passed away on September 23, 2026. Born May 28, 1944, in Plainfield, New Jersey, David was a former resident of South Plainfield and Edison before relocating to Toms River, New Jersey, where he made his home in later years.
David served his country with steadfast devotion as a United States Marine during the Vietnam War, attaining the rank of Sergeant. That same sense of duty and discipline carried through his working life, including his career as a Traffic Manager for LG in Watchung, New Jersey—work he approached with the reliability and perseverance that so often defined him.
A man of generous spirit and steady presence, David found genuine enjoyment in the simple, lasting pleasures of time well spent. He was a travel enthusiast and valued the camaraderie of playing cards with friends, moments that reflected both his warmth and his appreciation for connection. He was a dedicated caregiver for his late wife during her extended illness.
David was also active in the community of fellow veterans and friends he held in high regard, maintaining membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Italian American Club.
David was predeceased by his wife, Annette Kirch; and his sister, Linda Kirch. He is survived by his sons, David P. Kirch, Jr. (Jessica) and Stephen Kirch. He is also survived by his dear cousins, Sue Robbins and Bruce Frusco, as well as several other extended family members.
