Delina Skarles

Delina passed away peacefully in her home August 31, 2026 at the age of 99 1/2 . Cindy, Susie, Billy, Patty, & her caregivers, Helen, Maggie & Anna, surrounded her with love until her last breath.

Delina was born at home on February 8,1927, in the heart of Little Italy. Preceded in death by parents Battista & Maria DaPrato, beloved husband of 72 years, Bill, brother Willie, sister Gloria, sons-in-law Warren, Bob & Jim.

Survived by three daughters, Cindy, Janis, Susie (Jim); eight grandchildren, Serena, Cris (Anna), Dena (Tony), Shauna (Carl), Michael (Kristina), Alisa, Tom, & Joanna (Eric); numerous great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews; extended family here & in Italy, as well as countless people who lovingly called her Mom & Nonni.

Delina & Bill were married on April 6, 1947. Together they opened Skarles Printing which they successfully ran for 30 years.

Always up for an adventure, she & Bill traveled extensively & shared many memorable trips with their kids & grandkids. She delighted in feeding her friends & family; a social butterfly til the end, she was usually first to arrive at a party & always last to leave. Her quick wit, laughter, & twinkle in her eye, will be missed by all blessed to know her.
