Diana Carol Steinback, known fondly to everyone as Carol, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the age of 87.

Carol was born on April 12, 1939, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Charles and Helen Daniels. As an only child, she grew up in the area and graduated from Birdville High School before pursuing college coursework. She later married David McMillion, an officer in the U.S. Army. Carol embraced the vibrant life of an Army wife and mother, which fueled her deep love for traveling, exploring new destinations, and meeting new people from all walks of life.

In her professional life, Carol worked diligently as a claims adjuster. She was later married to Bruce Steinback until 1997. In her later years, she cherished the time spent and memories made with her close companion, Duayne from Waxahachie, TX.

Carol was known for her bright personality and distinct sense of style. She loved dressing up, wearing her favorite jewelry and bling, reading books and listening to orchestra music. She was always delighted to discuss her past travels and share stories of her adventures.

Carol is reunited in heaven with her father, Charles; her mother, Helen; and her beloved grandson, Jacob Schewe.

Her legacy of love lives on through her surviving family. She leaves behind her daughter, Kathy McMillion; her son, Gary McMillion, and his wife, Sandya; her two grandchildren, Michelle Howard (Chase) and Justin McMillion (Morgan); and six adored great-grandchildren: Cayden, Tristyn, Ryleigh, Kaylee, Kinzlee, and Greyson.

A Funeral Service will be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134, US, on May 26, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, followed by Committal at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134, US, on May 26, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm.

A Catered Reception will take place at Laurel Land Funeral Home, Front Reception Room, on May 26, 2026, beginning at 3:30 pm.
