Dirk Brian Fortune, age 22, of Katy, Texas, passed away on May 12, 2026. He was born in Katy, Texas on March 4, 2004, to parents Jeffrey Fortune and Michelle Fortune. Dirk will be remembered with deep respect and lasting affection by all who knew him.
Dirk found genuine joy in the outdoors and held a strong passion for hunting and fishing—pursuits that reflected his appreciation for time spent in nature and the quiet moments it offers. Above all, Dirk loved his life and his family with all of his heart, a devotion that remained clear in the way he lived and in the bonds he cherished.
Visitation will be held at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039, on May 29, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. A Funeral service will follow at Brookside Funeral Home on May 29, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Graveside services will take place at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039, on May 29, 2026, from 3:30 pm to 4:00 pm.
