Donald Joseph Shuda

Donald Joseph Shuda age 76, passed away on September 4, 2026, leaving behind a loving family and a lifetime of memories that will be cherished by all who knew him.

Don was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jill; his mother Emma; his son’s Jeff (Sandra) and Joel (Kerri); his grandchildren, Kami, Ryan, Tony, Christian and Ava; his great-granddaughter, Sophia; his sister Joanne (Chris); his sister-in-law Janeen; and his nieces, Uggy baby naughty girl, Jesse, and Haley.

Don enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially golfing and fishing. He treasured time spent outdoors, and the memories made with family and friends. Most of all, Don loved his family and the time they shared together. His friends and family will remember him as quite the character-a lovable troublemaker, and teaser who kept everyone smiling. Those who knew him will always remember his favorite saying: “Keep your ducks in a row!”

Don was preceded in death by his father, Joseph; his brother, Jimmy; and his beloved grandson, Kyle.

Though he is deeply missed, Don‘s memory will live on through his wife, children, grandchildren, great granddaughter, nieces, family, and friends. The love he shared, and the memories he created will remain in their hearts forever.

No services will be held per Don’s request. He will be cremated and later laid to rest at California Central Coast Veterans Cemetery (Ft. Ord), where he once served in the military.
