Doris Evans Blodgett

Mrs. Doris Evans Blodgett, born July 3, 1954, joined her father, Newt Evans, and mother, Lennis Evans Burkhart, in Heaven on Saturday, June 6, 2026. Doris served with honor in the United States Air Force, obtaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. She dedicated over 35 years to the field of Radiology and taught X-ray skills in military and public settings. During her time with us, Doris was a loving wife and mother. Survivors include her devoted husband of 38 years Stuart Blodgett; beloved sons and daughters-in-law Ben and Kylie, Steve and Bronwyn; sister and brother-in-law Pat and Ron Foust; niece Stephanie and husband Jody Owens; nephew Jonathan Foust; great-niece Abby Owens; and “Mamaw’s” pride, her grandchildren: Braelyn, Dominic, Graham, Brooklyn, Blake, and McKellen. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Alzheimer’s Tennessee or Wounded Warrior Project. A receiving of friends will be held at Sherwood Memorial Gardens on June 11, 2026, from 10:30-12:00 with a service to follow.
