Dorothy Elaine (Hubbard) Tate, a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, neighbor, and longtime resident of the Chattanooga area, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 20th, at the age of 78. Elaine was known for her vibrant social nature and her deep connection to her community. She enjoyed a dedicated career with DuPont, was active in community groups, and volunteered extensively with the Boy Scouts of America. She was also proud to become a Master Gardener in her retirement. She is survived by her sons William (Bill) B. Tate, Jr., John G. Tate, and Richard (Rick) N. Tate, as well as her grandchildren and her dog Beau. Elaine was preceded in death by her husband William B. Tate, Sr., and her parents Bernard W. & Velma Hubbard.
