Dorothy Ellen Huber (nee Burke) was born in East Baltimore City on June 15, 1941. Her mother, Catherine Wolf, was of German ancestry, and her father, John J. Burke, was from Ireland. She lived in Baltimore City, attended Catholic High School, and worked for the C&P Telephone Company after high school.
She married Charles W. Huber on April 23, 1966, and was a devoted mother to four children. Dorothy was active in her community, loved to go to Bingo with friends, and was known for her strong Catholic faith. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and participating in various family activities.
In her later years, health issues with her heart surfaced in Fall 2025, but she remained active until then. She passed away on September 12, 2026, leaving behind her loving family. Her funeral services were held at Schimunek Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Stephen Church in Bradshaw. Donations in her memory can be made to the American Cancer Society.
