Durward Belmont Mercer, Jr. son of Durward Belmont Mercer, Sr. and Corrie Grace Howard Mercer, born December 27, 1950, passed away from Parkinsons on Mary 26, 2026. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 29, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Snows at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Private burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Greg Pope will officiate.
Durward was educated at Tallulah Falls High School and Macon Junior College. He was employed first at Carsten and Denson Tool Company and then with Bassett Furniture. Afterwards he worked for Goodwill Industries.
He was an active member of the Vineville Baptist Church and set a goal of visiting all 50 states and accomplished it.
Durward is survived by his brother, Dennis Scott Mercer of Lithia Springs, Georgia and sister, Cheryl Lynn Mason-Mercer of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Snows at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
