Edward F Gary

August 1, 2026 Compton, Quebec Dignity Memorial

Edward F. Gary also known as Edgie, 77, passed away on August 1, 2026. Born May 24, 1949, Edgie was a resident of Colton, NY.

Edgie attended Parishville Hopkinton Central School, and he carried that same steady, roll-up-your-sleeves spirit into a life defined by work well done, hands kept busy, and people looked after along the way.

A motorcycle enthusiast through and through, Edgie poured his time and know-how into what he loved—owning E & G Cycle Shop and sharing that passion with others in ways both practical and generous. When he wasn’t drawn to the open road, he could often be found fishing, or simply where he most wanted to be: with family.

Edgie worked at Alcoa for 35 years as an Environmental Technician, a long stretch of hard work that spoke to his reliability and pride in showing up—day after day, year after year.

He is survived by his wife, Robin Gary; his children, Tess Huff (Steve), Edward Gary, Jr. (Andy), Eric Fefee, and Stephen Gary; his grandchildren, Tesha Frazier, Justin Gibson, and Dominick Gary; his great-grandchildren, Carter Tower, Emma Tower, Riley Gibson, Cheyanne Gibson, Zoey Russell, and Isaiah Gibson; his great-great-grandchildren, Kensley Shattuck and Huntleigh Tower; and his sister, Nancy Gary.

He was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Ryan Gibson, Mark Gary, and Jillian Gary; his great-grandchild, Declan LaBaff; his brother, Richard Gary; his sister, Linda Ramsey; and his parents, Theresa and Floyd Gary.

Edgie and Robin Gary marked their anniversary on 12/31/1987—a reminder that the best partnerships are built with commitment, laughter, and the kind of love that becomes a home base for everyone else.

In all the miles, all the years, and all the everyday moments in between, Edgie was deeply beloved — remembered for his generous heart, his hard-working ways, and that adventurous spark that never quite let life get too quiet.
