Elizabeth Ann Wolcott, commonly known as Betsy, passed away on April 18, 2026, at the age of 83. Born in Tampa, Florida, on May 10, 1942, she maintained a lifelong connection to her hometown.
Betsy devoted over forty years to the field of family therapy, demonstrating a strong commitment to her profession and an enduring dedication to assisting others. Her contributions were evident both within her career and in her personal interactions, where she was recognized for her compassion, kindness, and supportive nature.
She is survived by her son, William David and his wife Tamie; her daughter, Julie and her husband Luke; her grandchildren, Olivia Wolcott and William Wolcott Jr.; and her siblings, Richard Cox, Katy Cox, John Cox, Michael Cox, and Peggy Houdyshell. She was predeceased by her brother, Juna Cox.
Her presence and impact will be remembered by all who knew her.
