Ellen M. Callahan Vanover, 74, entered into rest on Friday, August 14, 2026.She was a retired records clerk with Doss High School and a member of Southeast Christian Church, Indiana.Ellen was preceded in rest by her husband, Gary Vanover; her parents, John G. Sr. and Lucille Callahan; and her brother, John G. “Butch” Callahan, Jr.She is survived by her daughters, Andria Avis, Amy Burba (Kenny) and Amandalynn Vanover; a son, Greg Vanover (Lorie); step-daughter, Carla Vanover; eight grandchildren, Michael, Andrew, Mitchell, Amber, Harleigh, Piper, Steven and Ashton; and four great-grandchildren, Carter, Brantlee, Brice, and Braxton.Her service will be on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 12:30pm at Advantage Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Heady-Dixie, with interment following in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 12pm until 8pm and Friday from 9am until the time of service.
