Eugene Bowman

Eugene "Red" Bowman, 97, of Kokomo, Indiana passed away on August 23, 2026. He was born on April 29, 1929, the son of Sparky Bowman and Bessie Rains. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Eugene retired from General Motors after thirty years of employment. On April 22, 1950 he married the love of his life Betty Lou See.He loved fishing with his buddy, Harold Hall, mushroom hunting, and was an avid baseball fan. He coached Little League for 15 years. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Eugene also enjoyed woodworking and made many birdhouses.Left to cherish his memory are his children, Nancy (Kenny) Wells, Mike Bowman, Donald Bowman, Kim Haggard and Tammy Bowman; grandchildren, Kristi Barney, Amber Wells, Courtney Hughes, Kyla Ryan, Samantha Ryder, Amy Tomlinson, Audrey Bowman, Jerry Bowman, Melissa Bowman, Tabitha Bowman, Donny Bowman, Alison Hulsey, Johnathan Bowman, Theresa Grahm, David Bowman; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Betty; second wife, Barbara; sons, Danny, Dennis, Jim, Richard; grandson, Danny Eugene; sisters, Ann and Irene; and furry companion, Bruno.
