It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Evelyn Blackwood French (née Cooney), at BMP Hospital in Cowansville, Quebec, on August 24, 2026, at the age of 100.

Beloved wife of the late Homer Blackwood, her first husband and the late Donald French, second husband. She leaves to mourn her sons, David (Victoria), Edward, and stepdaughter Janet (Claude Boulianne) as well as her many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

Evelyn was born in Montreal and attended Villa Maria Covent. She remained a devout Roman Catholic her entire life.
