It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Evelyn Kotska on August 23, 2026, at the age of 94.Evelyn was predeceased by her beloved husband, Louis Kotska, in 1996. She was the adored mother of Wayne Kotska, cherished grandmother of Adam and Rachel, and proud great-grandmother of Nolan. Evelyn shared a very special and loving bond with her niece Belinda, who was much more like a daughter to her. Belinda lovingly helped care for Evelyn for 11 years, creating a beautiful relationship filled with love, companionship, and treasured memories.She was a woman of deep faith and was committed to attending church each week. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Church for more than 30 years, where her faith was an important part of her life.

Above all, Evelyn loved her family deeply and will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was known for the tremendous love, kindness, and care she showed to her family, friends, and everyone she encountered. Evelyn loved life and loved people. She never judged others and always welcomed people with an open heart.

Her radiant personality and genuine warmth could light up any room she entered. She beamed with happiness, compassion, and love, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her. Evelyn held a particularly deep love for the Deaf community and was incredibly proud of and devoted to her son, Wayne, whom she loved dearly.

Evelyn's beautiful spirit, unwavering faith, and unconditional love will remain in the hearts of her family and friends forever. In lieu of flowers, donations in Evelyn's memory may be made to Bob Rumball Camp of the Deaf, an organization close to her heart.

Visitation will be held at Cresmount Funeral Home, 322 Fennell Avenue E., on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 10:00–11:00 a.m. A Funeral Service will follow in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 600 Spring Gardens Road, Burlington, Ontario.
