Fernande Joncas

On September 2, 2026, Mme Fernande Joncas passed away at the age of 101 years and 2 months at the CIUSSS du Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean, Chicoutimi Hospital. She was the wife of the late Mr. Ludovic Lavoie and in second marriage of the late Tancrède Lapointe, residing in Chicoutimi. She was the daughter of the late Grazielle Crevier and the late Eddy Joncas.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 11 am to 3 pm at the Complexe funéraire Rive-Nord (Ste-Claire). The funeral service will be held on the same day at 3 pm.

She was the mother of: the late Gérald (Louise Bisson), the late Florent (Sylvie Brassard), France (Yves Brisson), Jocelyne (Michel Brassard), Diane, the late Thérèse (Roger Toupin),Jean (Katy Bergeron), Camil (Hélène Tremblay), and Daniel (Linda Thibodeau). She leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she cherished dearly.

She was the sister of: the late Jacqueline Joncas (the late Fernand Boudreault), the late Dorina (Camil Yacola), the late Aurore, the late Nicole (the late Bernard Waltzing), and Raynald.

She is also survived by Solange Lavoie and Nicole Perron, her brothers- and sisters-in-law from the Lavoie family, as well as numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.
