At the Jeffery Hale Hospital, on August 21, 2026, at the age of 83 years and 6 months, Madame Françoise Fortin, wife of the late Monsieur Cléophas Samuel, daughter of the late Madame Juliette Chouinard and the late Monsieur Mathieu Fortin, passed away. She lived in Quebec.The family will receive condolences, in the presence of the ashes, at the Centre funéraire Saint-Charles, 1420, boulevard Wilfrid-Hamel, Quebec G1N 3Y6, on Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. A ceremony will be held at the same venue at 11:15 a.m.She leaves behind her children: Marie-Josée (Luc Pelletier) and Jean-François (Natalie Harkin); her grandchildren: Camille (Jonathan Bonneau), Juliette (Camille Parent), Mathieu, and Laëtitia; her great-granddaughter Éloïse.She was the sister of the late Juliette (the late Rodrigue Caron), the late Solange (the late Léo Mc Donough), Ghislaine (Paul Pilon), the late Fleur-Ange, the late Denise, Bruno (Paulette St-Pierre), Béatrice (Jean-Yves Labbé), Diane (Réjean Thériault), Madeleine (Jacques Robitaille), and Christine (Charlie Monroe). She also leaves behind her sister-in-law Mélina (the late Jacques Francoeur) and several nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.The family wishes to thank all the staff of the palliative care department of the Jeffery Hale Hospital for the excellent care provided.Your sympathies can be expressed by a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.
