He passed away at his home in Senneterre on May 13, 2026, at the age of 77. He was the son of the late Roger Constant and Marie-Rose Poulin, and the husband of the late Élizabeth Bélanger. He leaves behind children of the heart: Sylvie Lapointe and René Bélanger, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and many friends and family. The family thanks the staff at Manoir Universeau and CLSC of Senneterre for their good care. According to his last will, there will be no public viewing or funeral. Burial will take place at St. Paul Cemetery in Senneterre at a later date.
