George Ogletree Jr. of Five Points, AL passed on August 29, 2026, at the age of 78.
In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his brother, Sammy Ogletree and sisters, Charm Ogletree and Rose Marie Ogletree.
George served his country honorably in the United States Army. After his service he spent teh next 40 years in Funeral Service with the Striffler-Hamby Mortuary locations in Columbus, GA, Phenix City, AL and LaGrange, GA. He also served locations in Montgomery, AL. George was passionate about service to families, his country and Alabama Football. He has one room of his house completely dedicated to the history of the Crimson Tide.
George is survided by his wife Glenda June Ogletree, five step children, seven step grandchildren and seven step great-grandchildren; sister, Kay Bryant and Nephew, Chris Martin.
A Memorial Service will be planned for a later date.
